Brown Rudnick is seeking a talented 4th - 5th year level Litigation Associate to join our Commercial Litigation practice in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have experience managing all phases of complex commercial litigation, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, handling written discovery, taking and defending depositions, and working on trial preparation and trial support. Exposure to matters involving digital assets and cryptocurrency, corporate governance disputes, business divorces, including partnership and shareholder disputes, and insurance coverage and recovery matters, particularly in the context of representing corporate policyholders, is a plus. Candidates should possess strong analytical, writing, and case-management skills, have experience with and a passion for oral advocacy, and have the ability to work independently and collaboratively on sophisticated, high-stakes matters.
Our Dispute Resolution & Restructuring Department serves a wide variety of clients in connection with many exciting and challenging matters in a dynamic environment. The team is comprised of high performing, creative thinking trial lawyers. This position will provide an opportunity for accelerated professional development through direct collaboration with senior members of the team. Success will require a proactive mindset and a strong commitment to making the most of this opportunity.
Qualifications
Candidates must be barred in Washington, D.C., have outstanding academic credentials, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comparable law firm and/or clerkship experience preferred.
Experience handling all aspects of written discovery, drafting pleadings, arguing motions, preparing witnesses, and taking / defending depositions.
Experience with both defense and plaintiff side litigation is a plus.

Salary range based on experience level and location is estimated to be in the range of $285,000 - $325,000.
Associates are eligible for a substantial annual bonus that scales with experience and performance. We also offer additional high‑performance bonus tiers for attorneys who deliver exceptional results and production.
