Brown Rudnick is seeking a highly qualified 2nd – 5th year Intellectual Property Litigation Associate to join our expanding Intellectual Property Litigation group in New York. The ideal candidate is a patent litigator with experience managing various phases of litigation, including managing document production and review, conducting discovery meet and confers, taking and defending depositions, collaborating with experts in preparing expert reports, and drafting legal memoranda and persuasive briefs. Experience with inter partes reviews and other PTAB trial proceedings are a plus. Candidates should have a technical background in engineering, software, or computer networking, with a Computer Science (CS) or Electrical Engineering (EE) degree preferred.
Brown Rudnick’s cross-border Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group consists of litigators who regularly serve as highly strategic and trusted advisors to our clients in the most critical litigation and pre-litigation intellectual property rights disputes across the U.S. and the U.K. Our IP litigators serve a wide variety of clients in connection with many exciting and challenging matters in a dynamic environment. The team is comprised of high performing, creative thinking trial lawyers. This position will provide an opportunity for greatly accelerated professional development, working directly with the senior members of the group, and requires a desire to do the work necessary to capture that opportunity.
Qualifications
2-5 years of patent litigation experience in a comparable law firm or IP boutique firm setting.
Technical background and/or a degree in engineering, software, or computer networking, with a Computer Science (CS) or Electrical Engineering (EE) degree preferred.
J.D. required and must be admitted to the New York Bar.
Have outstanding academic credentials, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
USPTO admission preferred.

Salary range based on experience level and location is estimated to be in the range of $225,000 - $325,000.
Associates are eligible for a substantial annual bonus that scales with experience and performance. We also offer additional high‑performance bonus tiers for attorneys who deliver exceptional results and production.
