Wix is building a dedicated SMB sales motion around an AI app-generation product (Base44) rather than folding it into its existing website-builder sales org, signaling a bet that 'software built by describing it in words' is a new category that needs its own go-to-market playbook.
We’re building the foundational Go-To-Market team for Base44, an AI-powered software development platform recently acquired by Wix. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of a category-defining shift in how software is built—bringing a transformative product to the SMB segments. This is a high-impact, high-velocity role for a seller who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment. You won’t just be following a playbook; you’ll be helping to write it. Working closely with Base44 and Wix leadership, you will drive the full sales cycle, turning technical innovation into tangible business value for our customers.
In your day-to-day, you will:
Balance outbound with inbound and product-led opportunities. Reps need to create a pipeline, but this isn’t an outbound-only role.
Ability to understand the customer’s workflow and show how Base44 solves a real business problem through discovery and tailored demos
Managing the buying process by aligning decision-makers, working through technical and legal questions, and owning commercial terms through close.
Partnering with AM on handoff and expansion.
Turn Base44’s AI capabilities into "business-speak" that resonates with CXOs, Product Leads, and Founders
Shape the foundational sales motion, including messaging, outreach strategies, and customer segmentation to support future scale
Identify and convert high-potential prospects, building the early momentum that defines our market presence
Act as a critical feedback loop between the market and our product team to influence the roadmap and positioning
Maintain a clean CRM and provide accurate deal forecasting to support our rapid growth

We are seeking candidates located in or near the Salt Lake City, Utah, or San Diego, California area.
2+ years of B2B sales experience in a technology company, with a proven track record of smashing quotas
Experience in SMB environments with shorter sales cycles and high-volume deal flow
Experience with PLG or "land and expand" motions, leveraging ICs to drive organizational adoption
Familiarity with AI, ML, or developer-centric SaaS—comfortable discussing technical workflows with stakeholders
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable with the ambiguity of a "startup within a giant" environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor complex messaging to technical and non-technical audiences
Software used to take months and a team of engineers. At Base44, it takes a conversation. Our AI platform turns plain language into working custom software, and we’re changing who gets to build. As part of Wix, we have the backing of a global leader. Inside it, we move like a startup: fast, scrappy, and obsessed with simple solutions to hard problems. If you want to shape a category as it takes off, this is your seat.
Answer a McCoy challenge. Companies hiring in sales see your response and reach out when they want to talk.
About 15 minutes to prepare and 5 minutes to record. Unlimited retakes and a teleprompter help you answer. No AI training, and you can delete your response anytime.
This isn't an application to Wix.
