Labor & Employment Litigation Associate (San Francisco)

Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney with at least 5 years of experience to join our San Francisco office.

Sheppard is a global Am Law 100 full-service law firm with over 1,200 attorneys across 16 offices worldwide.  The San Francisco office currently has over 100 attorneys who practice in a variety of areas including Labor & Employment, Business Litigation, Corporate Transactions, Real Estate, Entertainment, Intellectual Property, and more.
 
 With more than 150 attorneys in the Labor & Employment group firmwide, Sheppard has one of the largest and most prestigious practices in the country.  Our attorneys advise employers of all sizes—ranging from Fortune 100 companies to high tech and traditional business start-ups—in all aspects of employment advice and counseling, disputes and litigation, international employment and mobility, and union management relations.  We have considerable expertise in all matters affecting the workplace including wage and hour, class and collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, employment agreements, layoffs, and ERISA.  The strength and depth of our practice is rooted in our ability to provide truly full-service labor and employment law counseling.
 
Our group in San Francisco continues to outperform and as a result, continues to grow.  Currently at 35 attorneys, we are recruiting for an outstanding associate with at least 5 years of employment litigation experience.  The ideal candidate should excel in the following areas:

•              Strong litigation skills.

•              Deep experience with class and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) representative actions

•              Ability to take ownership of cases and lead through class certification
•              Researching, writing, and arguing motions.
•              Conducting complex fact investigations and analysis.
•              Taking and defending depositions.
