What you’ll be working on
As a Regional HSE Advisor, you will be an experienced HSE professional that will provide superior leadership and support to the business in maintaining legal compliance and adopting best practice in HSE and Chain of Responsibility management across Australasia. Through the implementation of FedEx policies and procedures, you will champion continuous improvement across the department and wider business.
- Provide technical/expert advice to Officers and Directors and broader regional business inclusive of sale and operations on HSE and CoR matters.
- Analysis of current and emerging trends, practices, risks, and opportunities in relation to HSE and CoR
- Leads and supports high impact cross-functional projects and initiatives
- Develop and deploy processes, procedures, and tools to effectively and legally process and transport freight in line with HSE and CoR requirements
- Achieve and maintain full compliance to FedEx Policy and Procedures and relevant legislation
- Monitors CoR and HSE compliance breaches and closure of corrective actions
- Assist and at times lead HSE and CoR related serious investigations (ICAM)
- Designs and implements CoR Audit programs
- Develops and delivers internal CoR and HSE Training and delivers train the trainer programs
- Improves CoR and HSE capability within the broader HSEDG Function through coaching, mentoring, and partnering
- As required assist in the approval process of onboarding new vendors from a CoR compliance perspective
- Development of Leadership reports
What you will bring to the team:
- At least 5+ years experience in the field of HSE and CoR management in Australia
- Previous practical experience with application of CoR and NHVL Legislation in Australia
- Ability to work across a wide range of diverse markets
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent (preferred)
- ICAM qualified (desirable)
- The ability to adopt our ‘Safety Above All’ culture
- Reliability with a can-do attitude and the willingness to go above and beyond for the customer
