About Sales and Account Excellence (S&AE)
EY's Sales and Account Excellence (S&AE) function unites sales leadership, sector insight, technology expertise, and solution depth to drive market-leading growth. As EY's growth catalyst, S&AE shapes and executes integrated go-to-market strategies across priority accounts, industry sectors, and strategic alliances, delivering differentiated value through a deeply client-centric culture.
The Opportunity
As the SAP Alliance Sales Executive, you will operate at the front edge of growth for one of EY's biggest and most strategic alliance relationships. This is a true sales hunter role, focused on originating net-new opportunities, building pipeline, and closing sales through deep partnership with SAP and direct engagement with Financial Services clients.
You will be a market-facing, quota-carrying executive seller with strong knowledge of SAP's enterprise platform and its application across Financial Services, with depth in banking, capital markets, insurance, and wealth and asset management. You will proactively create demand, not respond to it, by identifying whitespace opportunities, shaping transformative conversations, and positioning SAP-enabled EY solutions that address the most complex challenges facing the Financial Services industry.
You will also be expected to embed AI-driven thinking and tools into every aspect of your sales role, including how you prospect, identify patterns, qualify opportunities, orchestrate pursuits, influence buyers, and accelerate time to close, serving as a model for modern, AI-enabled enterprise selling at EY.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Origination
- Relentlessly originate net-new pipeline within Financial Services by identifying unmet needs, emerging priorities, and transformation opportunities.
- Drive sales across three core channels:
- Direct client origination
- SAP and EY co-sell motions
- Ongoing collaboration with EY sector and account leadership
- Lead early-stage opportunity identification and qualification, independently shaping pursuits from signal detection through deal maturation.
SAP Alliance Leadership
- Demonstrate deep understanding of Financial Services clients' most pressing challenges, including:
- Core banking and insurance platform modernization
- Finance transformation, financial close, profitability, treasury, liquidity, and regulatory reporting
- Enterprise data modernization, governance, lineage, and real-time analytics
- Risk, compliance, financial crime, fraud, and operational resiliency
- Customer experience, product innovation, and front-to-back-office integration
- Workforce transformation, procurement, spend management, and enterprise operations
- Translate SAP capabilities into business outcomes that resonate with senior Financial Services executives, including:
- SAP S/4HANA Cloud for enterprise finance, accounting, treasury, asset management, and operational transformation
- SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud for governed data, planning, reporting, and real-time insight
- SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP Integration Suite for application extension, workflow automation, integration, and process orchestration
- SAP Business AI and Joule for AI-assisted decision-making, automation, and productivity
- SAP SuccessFactors for workforce and talent transformation and SAP Ariba for sourcing, procurement, and spend management
- SAP Fioneer solutions for core banking, transaction processing, financial products subledger, finance, risk, regulatory reporting, and insurance operations
- Build trusted executive relationships across SAP and priority clients that position EY as a strategic SAP-enabled business transformation partner.
Financial Services Industry Impact
- Demonstrate deep understanding of banking, capital markets, insurance, and wealth and asset management organizations, including their most pressing issues, risk constraints, policy drivers, and regulatory impacts.
- Translate SAP capabilities into outcomes that resonate with Financial Services executives, including finance modernization, resilient operations, regulatory compliance and trust, data transparency, customer and employee experience, cost optimization, risk management, and AI-enabled growth.
- Identify and shape opportunities spanning the front, middle, and back office while maintaining an enterprise view of the client transformation agenda.
- Build executive relationships with Financial Services clients and position EY as the strategic transformation partner for SAP-enabled change.
AI-Enabled Selling and Innovation
- Infuse AI into the full sales lifecycle, including:
- Account and opportunity analytics
- Intelligent prospecting and prioritization
- Pattern recognition across pipeline and buying signals
- AI-supported storytelling, proposal shaping, and pursuit orchestration
- Integration and use of digital sales agents across the sales lifecycle
- Champion SAP Business AI, Joule, and EY AI-enabled transformation solutions with credibility, connecting technology capabilities to measurable Financial Services outcomes.
- Serve as a role model for modern, AI-forward sales execution, helping elevate sales effectiveness across teams.
Market Leadership and Collaboration
- Bring deep Financial Services sector knowledge and strong SAP platform fluency, with the ability to translate both into enterprise-scale transformations that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Be the face of EY's SAP Alliance within EY's Financial Services business and the face of EY to SAP's Financial Services teams.
- Orchestrate cross-service-line and cross-functional EY teams to bring the best of the firm to priority SAP pursuits, including key messaging on EY-SAP value proposition, win themes and EY qualifications and credentials
- Coach and influence account teams and peers through active leadership in the market, not authority alone.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Hunter mindset with a strong bias for action, curiosity, and persistence.
- Exceptional executive presence with the ability to influence senior client, EY, and SAP stakeholders.
- Proven ability to navigate and succeed in a highly matrixed, alliance-driven environment.
- Consultative selling style as a trusted advisor, not a transactional seller.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to connect SAP capabilities to Financial Services business outcomes.
- Comfort leveraging data and AI insights to guide decisions, storytelling, and pursuit strategy.
To Qualify, You Must Have
- 12+ years of quota-carrying sales experience in professional services, technology, and/or enterprise solutions.

- Strong SAP ecosystem experience, including co-sell, partner, and channel-led motions.

- Experience originating and selling large, complex, multi-stakeholder business and technology transformation programs.
- Prior experience selling at a Big Four firm, SAP, or a large global systems integrator.
- Exceptional client relationship management and executive communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

- Existing relationships across SAP Financial Services sales, industry, solution, and account leadership.
- Strong coaching and mentoring capability.
- Proven team-selling experience across SAP, account, sector, and solution teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
