The goal of this&nbsp;manufacturing engineering&nbsp;role is to&nbsp;productionize&nbsp;and scale our internally developed&nbsp;advanced manufacturing capital equipment including laser powder bed fusion machines, automated assembly equipment, and other assets.&nbsp;The&nbsp;role owns the translation of complex machine technology from proof of concept&nbsp;to repeatable, reliable, and scalable manufacturing execution.&nbsp;
<h2>The Role</h2>
<ul>
<li>Serve as the primary manufacturing development engineering owner for one or more critical&nbsp;factory modules, subsystems, and/ processes&nbsp;</li>
<li>Develop deep technical understanding of assigned systems, including architecture, operating modes, controls, interfaces, failure modes, and interactions&nbsp;</li>
<li>Own the manufacturing readiness of complex machine systems from development through build, commissioning, validation, qualification, and production handoff&nbsp;</li>
<li>Lead the development and continuous improvement of clear,&nbsp;accurate, executable work instructions, standard operating procedures, test procedures, and process documentation&nbsp;</li>
<li>Lead complex troubleshooting, RCCA, and corrective action implementation to improve machine reliability, uptime, quality, and repeatability&nbsp;</li>
<li>Partner with design engineering, automation, software, operations, quality, supply chain, and R&amp;D to improve manufacturability and execution&nbsp;</li>
<li>Drive DFM, DFA, tolerance, process capability, tooling, fixture, and cycle time improvements&nbsp;</li>
<li>Support design changes through PLM, configuration management, change control, implementation planning, and production cut-in&nbsp;</li>
<li>Mentor engineers and technicians while raising standards for ownership, technical rigor, documentation quality, and follow-through&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<h2>Basic Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
<li>Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to U.S. export controls&nbsp;</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline&nbsp;</li>
<li>5+ years (Senior) or 7+ years (Staff) of relevant experience</li>
<li>Demonstrated ownership of complex areas&nbsp;</li>
<li>Strong experience in technical troubleshooting, RCCA, high-quality technical documentation, and/or manufacturing&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
<li>Experience&nbsp;with&nbsp;capital equipment&nbsp;or low-volume&nbsp;production&nbsp;</li>
<li>Experience with PLM, MES, configuration management, change control&nbsp;</li>
<li>Experience with tooling, fixtures, calibration tools, or test equipment&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job. For this role, we will consider candidates at levels Senior - Staff as evaluated through our interview process.&nbsp;
