Job Description
Ballard Spahr LLP, which recently combined with Lane Powell PC, is seeking a highly qualified associate to join its sophisticated Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights practice in Seattle, Washington. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 8 years of experience representing parties in bankruptcy, restructuring, and/or creditors’ rights litigation. A candidate with experience handling loan workouts, loan enforcement actions, receiverships, foreclosures, and other creditors’ rights/insolvency related litigation, is preferred. The group’s practice involves the representation of lenders, trade creditors, landlords, and debtors in workouts and restructurings, enforcement actions, receiverships, and bankruptcy, including Chapter 9, 11 and 15 cases, as well as distressed asset acquisitions and restructurings both in and out-of-court. Excellent drafting and legal writing skills, attention to detail, and strong academic credentials are required. This positions presents an opportunity for professional growth in a collegial environment of a national law firm. Active bar license in Washington, or the ability to waive in, is required. An active bar license in Oregon and/or California is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is from $250,000 – $330,000, which reflects the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will depend on several factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
In addition to the salary for this position, lawyers may be eligible for an incentive bonus program and/or a profit-sharing bonus program.
