Job Description
Baker Botts L.L.P. is seeking a Finance Associate with 3-6 years of experience representing lenders, borrowers, private equity funds, financial institutions, and other market participants in sophisticated financing transactions to join our Finance section in Austin, Dallas, or Houston.
Our Finance team advises corporate borrowers and issuers, private equity funds, investment banks, commercial banks, private credit lenders, and other financial institutions in connection with a broad range of sophisticated financing transactions. Associates work on complex domestic and cross-border matters spanning acquisition financings, syndicated credit facilities, reserve-based lending facilities, bridge loans, asset-based financings, secured and unsecured term lending, working capital facilities, and other debt financing arrangements. The team also advises issuers, underwriters, and institutional purchasers in secured and unsecured high-yield debt offerings.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative practice that offers meaningful responsibility, direct client exposure, and hands-on experience across a diverse mix of lender- and borrower-side representations. Associates work closely with experienced partners on high-profile transactions across a variety of industries, including energy, infrastructure, private equity, and financial services.
Qualified candidates should have:
• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
• 3-6 years of relevant finance experience at a peer law firm
• Experience with syndicated lending, acquisition financings, asset-based lending, reserve-based lending, or other secured lending transactions
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
• The ability to effectively manage multiple transactions and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Candidates must be licensed or be eligible to sit for or waive into the Texas Bar
