Job Description
Baker Botts is seeking a Corporate Associate (Class of 2019–2024) to join our Houston office. The ideal candidate will have experience with capital markets transactions, SEC reporting, and other public company representation.
Responsibilities:
Support capital markets transactions, including public and private securities offerings and related compliance matters.
Assist with SEC reporting and disclosure obligations for public company clients.
Contribute to a range of corporate transactions and general corporate matters as part of a collaborative deal team.
Work closely with partners and senior associates to deliver practical, business-focused legal advice.
Advise clients on day-to-day corporate governance and related corporate matters.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
Class of 2019–2024 with 2–6 years of corporate transactional experience.
Experience with securities laws, equity and debt offerings and capital markets transactions representing public companies and/or underwriters.
Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
Admission to practice in Texas (or eligibility to waive in).
