Job Description

This role is responsible for merchandising grains (e.g., Soybean) and feed ingredients (e.g., Soybean Meal, Corn Gluten Meal) to meet sales targets and generate significant financial returns. Success in this position requires buying and selling commodities at the optimal times, developing ADM’s distribution operations, maintaining strong customer relationships, and communicating relevant market insights.

Your Responsibilities:

• Identify business growth opportunities and assess market trends.
• Analyze the commodity portfolio to uncover potential trading opportunities.
• Apply appropriate trading strategies in response to various market conditions or economic trends.
• Lead negotiations for buying and selling activities to maximize profitability.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on purchasing and sales decisions.
• Monitor supply and demand dynamics that influence trades and valuations.
• Track international market performance and trends.
• Manage customer relationships and maintain strong connections with key market players.
• Cultivate and nurture long-term business relationships with existing clients and potential trading partners.
• Drive operational efficiency and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the operations team to oversee the physical settlement of commodities.

Your Profile:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Business, Agribusiness, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Agricultural Commodities Trading (e.g., Soybean, Corn, Soybean Meal, Corn Gluten Meal).
• Experience in international agricultural commodities trading.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to take initiative and think critically.
• A customer-oriented mindset with an entrepreneurial approach.
• Meticulous attention to detail, result-driven, and hands-on.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and spoken, in English and Bahasa.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong presentation skills in both English and Bahasa.
