Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a legal administrative role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal document management software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of basic legal terminology and procedures.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Knowledge of electronic case management systems and legal billing software (Aderant/iTimekeep).
- Experience with court filing procedures and regulatory compliance documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize legal documents, including case files, contracts, and correspondence related to healthcare law matters.
- Coordinate schedules, meetings, and communications between attorneys, clients, and external agencies.
- Prepare and proofread legal documents, reports, and correspondence to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents with courts and regulatory bodies, adhering to deadlines and procedural requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure compliance with healthcare privacy laws such as HIPAA.
- Support billing and invoicing processes related to legal services and track case-related expenses.
- Utilize legal management software and databases to update case statuses and manage document workflows.(iManage/Filesite)
- Provide general administrative support including answering phones, managing mail, and ordering office supplies.
