As an Accounting Analyst I – Revenue Accounting & Analysis, you will play a meaningful role in supporting core accounting functions across the organization. You will contribute to financial analysis and reporting that informs management decision-making, while also identifying opportunities to improve processes through technology and automation. Curiosity, attention to detail, and a drive to improve how work gets done are key to success in this role.
Responsibilities / Expectations
Perform assigned month-end activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, SEC reporting, and variance analysis
Prepare, maintain, and enhance schedules, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders
Support internal and external audit requests by providing accurate documentation and clear explanations
Collaborate as a team member on accounting and finance-related projects
Process and analyze large volumes of data, ensuring accuracy while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and automation
Perform other duties as assigned
Education / Years of Experience
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field with a strong accounting focus and a minimum of one (1) year of accounting experience in the energy industry or successful completion of an accounting internship.
Preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential or actively pursuing CPA certification.
Alternative Consideration: Candidates currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field with a strong accounting focus may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrates strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with safety as a top priority
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Communicates effectively and collaborates across teams and departments
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial acumen
