The Commercial Contract Analyst III/Sr. will consult and collaborate to craft, execute and support the ongoing management of structured commercial agreements, including PPAs, of varying complexity. This role plays a critical role in enabling deal execution and protecting company value across the full contract lifecycle.
Responsibilities/Expectations:
Prepares and coordinates the creation, redlining, and execution of sophisticated agreements with an emphasis on negotiating terms that improve value and mitigate contractual exposure
Leads communication with internal and external partners to collaborate on contract and document draft/redline/execution
Contributes through identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives, with an eye for tools, ideas, and process improvements to increase efficiencies within the group
Assists the business to find adequate contract solutions for customers
Crafts new contract templates and updates the existing templates on as as-needed basis; makes recommendations to our policies and guidelines for commercial contracts
Collaborates with various partners with new business development opportunities and/or special projects
Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
Required: High school diploma or GED and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing agreements related to natural gas midstream and/or power operations, marketing, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, energy management, finance, accounting, or paralegal studies
Other Requirements:
Strong, proactive organization skills
Highly detail-oriented
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Prior experience with contract management systems (e.g. Cobblestone Contract Insight)
Preferred: Strength in communicating with varying audiences
Preferred: Ability to multitask and prioritize work, including coordinating with multiple internal partners
Preferred: Strong project management skills to plan, organize, and track work efficiently
