If you want to work with the most talented people on Earth furthering space exploration for humanity, come join us.</p></div><p>Vast is looking for an <strong>Inventory Coordinator,</strong> reporting to the to <strong>Manager, Inventory Control</strong> to support the development and operation of inventory systems required for the design and build of the world’s first commercial human-rated space stations.</p>
<p>This will be a full-time, <strong>non-</strong><strong data-stringify-type="bold">exempt</strong>&nbsp;position located in our&nbsp;<strong data-stringify-type="bold">Long Beach</strong>&nbsp;location.</p>
<p><strong>Shift:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>First Shift: 6am - 2:30pm PST</li>
<li>Second Shift: 2pm - 10:30pm PST&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Execute daily inventory operations including receiving, stocking, picking, kitting, and issuing material to support production and development</li>
<li>Maintain accurate inventory transactions within ERP/MES systems (e.g., Manufacturo), ensuring full traceability and data integrity</li>
<li>Support move orders and material requests with a focus on speed, accuracy, and clear communication to stakeholders</li>
<li>Perform cycle counts and inventory audits; investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner</li>
<li>Ensure proper identification, labeling, and storage of inventory, including serialized and lot-controlled material</li>
<li>Maintain compliance with quality standards (e.g., AS9100), including proper segregation of nonconforming (MRB) material</li>
<li>Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Receiving, Inspection, and Engineering to support operational needs</li>
<li>Assist with organization and optimization of inventory storage locations, including racks, cages, and line-side inventory</li>
<li>Support implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce handling, and improve accuracy</li>
<li>Operate material handling equipment as needed (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) in a safe and compliant manner</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalency certificate.&nbsp;</li>
<li>1–5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related field (level will be based on experience)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Skills &amp; Experience:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment (aerospace or regulated industry preferred)</li>
<li>Familiarity with ERP/MES systems (experience with Manufacturo or similar systems is a plus)</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy and accountability</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to changing production needs</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams</li>
<li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, including rotating between locations as&nbsp;needed</li>
<li>Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets</li>
<li>Experience with inventory best practices such as FIFO, lot/serial tracking, and cycle counting preferred</li>
<li>Forklift certification or willingness to become certified preferred</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Additional Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience supporting inventory operations in an aerospace or AS9100-certified environment</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements</li>
<li>Experience training or mentoring team members</li>
<li>Familiarity with kitting strategies and line-side inventory support</li>
<li>Experience working across multiple facilities or supporting scaling operations</li>
<li>Willingness to work overtime, or weekends to support critical mission milestones</li>
<li>Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Pay Range:&nbsp;</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Inventory Coordinator I: $22.00 - $31.00</li>
<li>Inventory Coordinator II: $26.00 - $36.00</li>
