The Stennis Test team designs, builds, and operates Relativity’s propulsion and stage test stands. Team members are hands-on with large-scale, complex systems including fully integrated engines and stage assemblies, pushing hardware to the limits and directly contributing to flight readiness. The work is fast-paced and highly operational, ideal for those with backgrounds in aviation, automotive, manufacturing, offshore operations, industrial systems, construction, or adjacent industries. You’ll work in a close-knit, dynamic environment where collaboration between technicians, operators, and engineers is not only encouraged, but expected. As the company scales, the Stennis Test team becomes even more critical to unlocking our next phase of growth: proving out full-stage systems and paving the way for routine, reliable flights of Terran R.
About the Role:
Scope of the role and areas of responsibility may include:
<ul>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Oversight: conduct thorough in-process and final inspections of propulsion components, stage assemblies, and integrated flight hardware using precision tools, CAD model, drawings, process specifications, and/or work order requirements.</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Processes: diligently review all hardware requirements and determine pass/fail status, documenting outcomes and any non-conformances or deviations found. Use tooling to perform FOD inspections, document hardware status, and perform walkdown inspections on engine and stage assemblies.</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Mentorship: provide technical guidance throughout in-process work ensuring company and industry standards are met.</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Collaboration: develop strong working relationships with Test Operations, Manufacturing, and Hardware Responsible Engineering teams to ensure all company objectives can be met, demonstrating and ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, engineering, and team leaders.</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Analysis: performs various inspections to identify issues and assists with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.</li>

About You:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience working in Aerospace and/or Aviation.</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience with in-process build inspections, precision inspection techniques, and precision inspection tooling.</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions while providing technical guidance utilizing internal and external work standards.</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs unassisted and stand for extended periods.</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces.</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">This position will require occasional night shifts, weekends, and possible travel.</li>
</ul>
Nice to haves but not required:
<ul>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience with structural/airframe inspection or large assembly inspections.</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Background in aviation maintenance, aircraft inspection, or similar quality roles.</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Advanced computer skills in operating Microsoft Office.</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience with NX, Team Center, LN, or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience with AS 9100, ISO 9001, or similar Quality Management Systems.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
