Lead Information Developer
We are seeking an experienced Lead Information Developer to lead documentation strategy and delivery for a portfolio of cybersecurity products. This role combines technical writing leadership, content strategy, and AI-enabled documentation innovation.
The ideal candidate is a strong technical communicator who can create and structure content for human users and AI-powered consumers , including copilots, chatbots, search assistants, and agentic experiences. The role requires driving documentation excellence through Generative AI, content analytics, automation, and team mentorship.
Responsibilities
Lead documentation strategy, planning, and execution across multiple product areas to improve consistency and delivery.
Partner with Product Management, Engineering, UX, Support, and other stakeholders to align documentation with product and business goals.
Drive documentation standards, governance, content architecture, and reusable content strategies.
Mentor and coach Information Developers, providing technical guidance, reviews, and best practices to strengthen team performance.
Champion adoption of Generative AI, automation, and modern documentation technologies to enhance content quality, productivity, and impact.
Create and optimize content for both human consumption and AI-driven experiences, applying SEO, GEO, and AEO best practices to improve discoverability and use.
Define documentation KPIs and establish dashboards to measure content effectiveness, discoverability, engagement, operational efficiency, and business impact.
Use analytics, customer feedback, and support insights to drive continuous improvement and data-driven content decisions that better serve users.
Lead initiatives that improve documentation scalability, quality, and productivity.
Qualifications
12+ years of experience in Technical Writing, Information Development, or Technical Communication, including leadership of documentation initiatives and strong experience in enterprise software, SaaS, cloud, API, or cybersecurity products.
Strong expertise in technical writing, information architecture, content strategy, and structured authoring.
Hands-on experience with Generative AI, prompt engineering, AI-assisted authoring tools, and documentation automation.
Experience defining content metrics, developing dashboards, and leveraging analytics to measure and improve content performance.
Proficiency with JIRA or similar ticketing systems, CMS platforms, publishing tools, Git-based repositories, and modern documentation ecosystems.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and mentoring skills.
Good to Have
Experience with Google Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
Understanding of AEO, GEO, semantic search, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI-ready content strategies.
Experience with Docs-as-Code, structured authoring, and enterprise knowledge management practices.
