Key details
Why this role is notable
Axon is repositioning its customer-facing staff from sales-style relationship managers into embedded technical operators who run agencies' end-to-end technology stack, a sign that public safety vendors are being paid to own operational outcomes rather than just sell devices and software.
Job Description
Join Axon and be a Force for Good.
At Axon, we’re on a mission to Protect Life. We’re explorers, pursuing society’s most critical safety and justice issues with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. Like our products, we work better together. We connect with candor and care, seeking out diverse perspectives from our customers, communities and each other.
Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, you’ll take ownership and drive real change. Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.
Your Impact
This isn't relationship management. It's operational leadership.
As a Mission Operator II, you serve as the trusted technical advisor for complex public safety agencies, helping customers maximize the value of Axon's technology ecosystem throughout the entire customer lifecycle. You don't wait for problems to surface—you anticipate them. You don't simply resolve issues—you create lasting operational improvements.
You combine deep software expertise with knowledge of hardware, networking, cloud technologies, AI, and public safety operations to help agencies modernize how they work. Customers rely on your judgment, technical leadership, and ability to navigate complex challenges while building confidence in both the technology and the partnership.
Mission Operators aren't measured by activity—they're measured by customer trust, operational outcomes, and technology that performs when it matters most. Mission Operators thrive in ambiguity, solve problems others can't, and earn trust through action. They combine technical expertise with operational leadership to help customers achieve outcomes that matter—because when public safety agencies succeed, lives are protected.
