What makes this role novel
AI Ops SRE is a distinct new discipline: building automation platforms where AI agents read telemetry and execute guarded, reversible operational actions—a job that requires both SRE expertise and AI systems thinking in ways that didn't exist before large language models could be deployed as operational agents.
Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY
The CISO Infrastructure & Cloud Services organization delivers excellence in the pursuit of breakthroughs that change patients' lives through industry-leading infrastructure operations performance. We ensure optimal performance of global application hosting and network services that power Pfizer's business processes. We strive to revolutionize service dependability by applying advanced analytics to drive predictive detection, identifying potential issues with our services and intervening before they disrupt our business. We place data at the heart of what we do and apply a relentless focus on continuous improvement to enable Pfizer's business processes and patient outcomes.
We are seeking an AI Ops Site Reliability Engineer to build and maintain the automation environment and integrations that power our AI-driven operations within Hosting SRE Operations, based in Greece. This is a hands-on AI OPS SRE engineering role: building the connectors, playbooks and pipelines that let the agent pipeline read telemetry and execute guarded, reversible actions safely. The successful candidate strengthens the resilience of our automation platform and helps convert classic operations into reliable AI operations.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and maintain the automation environment and codebase as a shared, well-documented platform - removing single points of failure and improving resilience.
Develop and maintain connectors and integrations, such as MCP, across ServiceNow, Dynatrace, Aria, AIQUM, Rubrik, with clear boundaries between read-only and change actions.
Implement remediation playbooks that execute through SSM, Ansible, always with rollback and audit.
Automate everything: build and maintain IaC/CM (Ansible, Terraform) and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to administer, patch and configure Hosting systems end-to-end.
Support the intake and investigation agents with reliable data pipelines and tooling, and contribute to the evaluation harness that measures their accuracy.
Apply coding best practices - version control, CI/CD, testing and documentation
Identify automation opportunities from data and develop proactive solutions that reduce toil and improve reliability.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
2 years+ in software engineering or automation engineering for infrastructure or operations.
Strong development skills in Python (and one or more of Bash, PowerShell), with version control (GitHub), CI/CD and coding best practices.
Experience building API integrations or connectors, and IaC / configuration-management tooling (Ansible, Terraform).
Exposure to AI tools and platforms and a willingness to build agent connectors and playbooks. Experience with ServiceNow, Dynatrace or MCP is a plus.
Strong data literacy to interpret system metrics and support predictive operations.
Demonstrated experience in an agile work environment possessing qualities such as a collaborative mindset, adaptability to change, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Periodic international and domestic travel required (less than 10%)
Please apply by sending your CV in English.
