Job Description
As a System Engineer I, you will support our clients by managing and maintaining Citrix infrastructure & vSphere ensuring the availability, performance and reliability of critical IT systems. You will provide 24x7 operational support through on-call rotations and shift schedules, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, perform system administration tasks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality support across all U.S. time zones.
- Perform daily system operational tasks to verify system integrity and availability.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware/OS upgrades, and resource optimization.
- Implement monitoring for applications and servers and respond to alarms in a timely manner, preventing client impact and performance degradation
- Complete assigned incident management tasks.
- Build\manage Citrix XenApp & Desktop.
- Maintain Citrix infrastructure with latest the patch\CU’s.
- Perform daily pro-active checks on Citrix XenApp & Desktop infrastructure.
- Hands on experience on Citrix MCS & PVS image management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills on Citrix and hosted applications.
- Hands on experience in managing GPO\Citrix policies.
- High-level knowledge on vSphere.
- Hands on experience on managing Dell VxRail, Cisco UCS and HP blade servers.
- Train and mentor junior Engineers on Server Virtualization solutions.
- Good understanding of Microsoft server and desktop operating systems.
- Develop SOP documents and implement best practices.
- Support 24x7 On-call and troubleshoot critical events.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations.
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position.
