Sr. E-Discovery Specialist

The Sr. eDiscovery Specialist (Sr. eDS) is responsible for taking a lead role in the business development, consultation, training and delivering of eDiscovery and legal technology services to firm attorneys, paralegals and clients. The Sr. eDS is responsible for making legal technology/eDiscovery decisions to determine the best course of action necessary in electronic discovery matters. The Sr. eDS provides assistance to and serves as a local “team leader” to junior members of the eDS team and functions as a senior level eDiscovery consultant and project manager. Prepare project documentation including database design specifications, vendor processing and delivery specifications and reporting.Oversee/coordinate resources and track project progress and workflow.Evaluate specifications and determine appropriate resources to use (internal and external) to deliver eDiscovery projects.Proactively apply quality management techniques to ensure client satisfaction.Maintain project files and documentation.Review data from vendors for accuracy and quality.Prepare document productions and perform production quality checks.Oversee junior team members.Consulting/StrategyDesign and maintain eDiscovery databases.Subject matter expert for all technology aspects of litigation, eDiscovery, vendor management, pre-trial and trial technology support.Work with case teams to advise, develop, and implement eDiscovery collection, review, and production protocols.Advise attorneys and clients on Generative AI review strategy and procedures.Responsible for identifying, testing, and assisting in the implementation of technologies that improve eDiscovery workflow efficiency for firm/practice groups.Serve as a focal/escalation point for partners, associates, paralegals, and eDS consultants within the region.Assists with troubleshooting application and system-related issues.Business DevelopmentParticipate in appropriate seminars and training to keep abreast of current litigation tech trends.Champion the need to engage eDS in the early stages of cases.Conduct local, regional, and/or national training/orientation to attorneys and paralegals related to the latest in litigation support and eDiscovery.Ensure time is entered into firm billing system according to firm policy and provide clear, concise narratives.Adhere to firm and eDS policies and proceduresMaintain confidentiality and security of dataParticipate in Litigation Group and Office Administrator meetings.
