The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for managing all aspects of expense budgeting and analysis, ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting and financial insights to support decision-making. This role also includes limited exposure to revenue planning, partner compensation, overhead allocations and aspects of pricing. This role also serves as the point person for industry surveys-overseeing data collection, submission, and benchmarking analysis. And our rigorous standards assure you are part of a diverse team of top talent at every turn.If you’re someone who’s looking toward the future, we’d love to hear from you.Location: Rochester, NYReporting Relationships: This position will report to a Manager in the FP&A Group.Essential Job Responsibilities:Reporting, Forecasting & AnalysisPrepare rolling forecasts and update financial models throughout the year.Conduct variance analysis, identifying key cost drivers and providing recommendations to optimize spending.Develop and maintain financial models to improve forecasting accuracy and cost management.Respond to ad hoc requests from firm leadership and practice group leaders.Prepare and present financial metric related reports to senior management.Understand Partner Compensation and Overhead Expense allocations, which are maintained outside the general ledger.Industry Surveys & BenchmarkingAct as the primary point of contact for industry surveys, ensuring accurate and timely data submission.Analyze survey results to provide benchmarking insights and assess company performance relative to industry peers.Summarize findings in reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.Revenue Analysis (limited exposure)Assist in reporting and analyzing revenue to support decision-making.Gain an understanding of identifying key revenue drivers and assessing financial impacts.Matter Planning and Pricing (limited exposure)Assist with rate-setting analysis and alternative fee arrangement modeling.Partner with stakeholders to evaluate cost-saving opportunities and ensure financial efficiency.Support partners with matter profitability analysis and fee arrangements.Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholdersTo perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential job responsibility listed above, satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
