Docket Clerk (New York State)

The Docket Clerk is responsible for supporting attorneys in various practice groups by providing in-depth expertise in docketing, court rules, procedures, legal proceedings, and case trial activity. And our rigorous standards assure you are part of a diverse team of top talent at every turn.If you’re someone who’s looking toward the future, we’d love to hear from you.Location: Albany, NY; Buffalo, NY; Long Island, NY; New York, NY; Rochester, NYReview all practice papers and pleadings and docket as appropriate using CompuLaw.Search, retrieve and download online court dockets and filed documents as requested.Prepare various calendar and case reports from CompuLaw.Provide ancillary support for electronic filing in CM/ECF.Provide instruction to other staff in electronic filing rules and procedures.Consult with staff and attorneys to ensure compliance with court rules and procedures, including appellate and bankruptcy proceedings.Assist attorneys and staff in other offices of Nixon Peabody with local court proceedings and court filings.Perform other duties as assigned.To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential job responsibility listed above, satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
