Job Description
Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced entertainment lawyer to join our Business & Legal Affairs team in Warsaw. This is a broad, fast-paced role supporting Netflix’s growing slate of Polish and Central European original content.
You will report directly to the lawyer overseeing TV series and non-fiction content, serving as a key second on that scope. You will take primary responsibility for a range of production, development, and talent matters across the scripted series and non-fiction slate, and will be expected to flex into film production and content licensing as business needs require.
The ideal candidate brings genuine business acumen to every matter, earns the trust of creative and commercial partners alike, and thrives in an environment where no two days look the same.
What You’ll Do
Negotiate, draft, and close production, development, and co-production agreements for Netflix original TV series and non-fiction content produced in Poland and the broader region.
Act as a trusted day-to-day partner to the lawyer overseeing business & legal affairs for TV series and non-fiction, independently managing your own individual workload on the full scope of business and legal affairs matters on that slate.
Support the film slate and licensing slate as business needs require, demonstrating the flexibility to shift priorities and contexts quickly.
Negotiate deals directly with producing partners, talent, agents, and other representatives, both locally and internationally.
Advise internal stakeholders — including creative, production, finance, and policy teams — on legal and business issues with confidence and pragmatism.
Navigate issues of first impression with sound judgment, drawing on knowledge of Polish media law, European production frameworks, and Netflix’s global standards.
Oversee business and legal affairs matters during active productions, including talent, vendor, and contributor agreements.
Develop and execute deal strategy in partnership with leadership to advance Netflix’s content objectives in the market.
Maintain close alignment with cross-functional partners including finance, production, tax, communications, and policy.
What We’re Looking For
Law degree and admission to practice in Poland or a relevant jurisdiction.
5+ years of entertainment law experience, with direct involvement in both the legal and business aspects of film and/or television production and licensing.
Demonstrated experience structuring, negotiating, and drafting production, development, and talent agreements in the Polish or broader European market.
Strong business acumen and a solution-oriented mindset — comfortable making decisions that carry both legal and commercial weight.
Resourcefulness and comfort with ambiguity; able to work through novel issues without a clear roadmap.
Excellent drafting, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to manage a varied, fast-moving workload independently and reliably, often under tight deadlines.
Familiarity with Polish media law required
Openness to a feedback culture
Experience providing in-house support at a studio, broadcaster, or streaming platform is preferred.
Fluency in English and Polish is required.
This position is based in Warsaw, with periodic travel within Europe.
Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.
