A major insurer is standing up a dedicated leadership role to manage a surge of silica litigation claims, signaling that silica-exposure liability (a mass-tort wave from engineered stone and industrial dust) is large enough to warrant its own claims strategy at a Fortune 100 carrier.
Candidates for this position should demonstrate strong leadership, claims management and operational skills. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a diverse team of tenured claims adjusters, as well as the ability to work with associates who are new to Nationwide. Candidates for this position will have a deep knowledge of silica claims and the silica litigation in general. A detailed understanding of ClaimCenter is also necessary. Candidates will work closely with the Director to develop strategies for resolving and managing the influx of silica claims.
