Job Description
About monday.com
monday.com is the AI work platform powering the most ambitious teams. 250,000+ customers across departments use us to bring people, workflows, and AI agents together on one flexible platform where AI doesn't just assist, it executes. We move fast, build things that matter, and foster an ownership-driven culture where you're empowered to shape how organizations work and outpace their competition.
About the team
AI is changing what software can do and how we build it. At monday.com, we’re building an AI Engineering organization with the ambition to be among the best in the world. We’re looking for exceptional engineers who want to push the boundaries of autonomous systems and turn emerging technology into dependable software at scale.
We build the systems that let AI agents take on meaningful work, collaborate with people, and own increasingly complex tasks from start to finish.
Our challenges span agent orchestration, context and memory, tool execution, evaluations, and autonomous delivery. We experiment with frontier models, challenge established approaches, and learn from running systems in production.
You’ll join a team with high technical standards, direct ownership, and room to shape both the architecture and what we tackle next.
About the role
Design and ship AI systems that plan, act, verify results, and recover when things go wrong.
Build the foundations for agents to operate across complex tools, workflows, and environments.
Develop evaluation and observability capabilities that make agent behavior measurable and improve it over time.
Explore new models and techniques, making deliberate trade-offs between capability, latency, cost, and reliability.
Own projects from early experiments through architecture, production rollout, and measurable impact.
Work closely with engineers and teams across monday.com to solve problems with broad reach.
Our stack includes TypeScript, Node.js, Go, React, AWS, and Kubernetes. We value engineering depth and learning ability over familiarity with every tool.
Requirements
5+ years of software engineering experience and a strong record of shipping production systems.
Strong coding skills, architectural judgment, and experience building cloud-based applications.
Hands-on experience building with LLMs, agents, or AI workflows beyond basic prompting.
Curiosity to explore unfamiliar technology and the discipline to test whether it works.
Clear communication, low ego, and a strong sense of ownership.
Strong product judgment: understand user needs, challenge assumptions, and turn complex AI capabilities into simple, valuable experiences.
Bonus- Experience with distributed systems, agent orchestration, evaluation frameworks, or production AI infrastructure.
