MG+M The Law Firm (MG+M) seeks a Regional Office Manager to provide leadership and operational oversight for the Firm's New York City and Basking Ridge, New Jersey offices. Reporting directly to the Director of Administration, this highly visible role is responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative, legal support, and business operations of both offices. This position is based in the New York City office and requires a regular on-site presence in New York City, with periodic travel to the Basking Ridge office as business needs require.
The successful candidate will bring substantial litigation experience and a strong understanding of legal terminology, litigation workflow, court procedures, and law firm operations. This individual must be able to effectively partner with attorneys, paralegals, legal administrative assistants, and office support professionals while providing informed leadership in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Principal Duties + Responsibilities
Litigation Workflow & Legal Operations Oversight
- Lead day-to-day litigation support operations across the New York City and Basking Ridge offices, ensuring attorneys receive responsive, high-quality administrative and legal support.
- Apply a strong understanding of litigation workflow, legal terminology, court procedures, and attorney support needs to allocate resources, prioritize work, and drive operational efficiency.
- Partner with attorneys and legal support professionals to identify workflow challenges, balance workloads, implement process improvements, and promote best practices.
- Monitor staffing capacity, workflow demands, and service levels to ensure consistent support and accountability.
- Serve as a liaison between attorneys, legal support teams, and Firm leadership to advance operational objectives and firm initiatives.
Human Relations + People Management
- Partner with the national Talent Acquisition team to support recruitment efforts for the New York City and Basking Ridge offices.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities for all office personnel.
- Supervise, coach, and develop legal administrative assistants, paralegals, and office support professionals.
- Oversee PTO requests, staff timecards, payroll exceptions, and other personnel administration.
- Administer the annual performance review process and support compensation evaluation efforts.
- Manage employee relations matters in partnership with Human Relations and Firm leadership.
- Foster an engaged and collaborative culture through effective communication, accountability, employee development, and team-building initiatives.
Office Administration & Business Operations
- Provide overall operational leadership for the New York City and Basking Ridge offices, ensuring efficient day-to-day administration.
- Oversee facilities, office services, vendor relationships, and related operational functions.
- Assist with office budgeting, expense management, and financial oversight.
- Partner with Firm leadership on strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and special projects.
- Ensure compliance with Firm policies, procedures, and administrative best practices.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience within a litigation-focused law firm or comparable legal services environment.
- Prior hands-on litigation experience required. Experience as a paralegal, senior paralegal, litigation support manager, legal operations manager, regional office manager, or similar role strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court systems, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, docketing, and attorney support workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to assess legal support operations, improve workflows, and provide informed guidance to attorneys and legal support staff.
- Experience leading and developing paralegals, legal administrative assistants, and administrative teams.
- Knowledge of New York and New Jersey court procedures strongly preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, manage competing priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong sense of accountability and the ability to proactively identify and resolve challenges.
- Proficiency with legal technology platforms such as PACER, ECF, LexisNexis File & Serve, Thomson Reuters products, iManage, ECFX, and Milana preferred.
- Must be able to maintain a regular on-site presence in the New York City office and travel to the Basking Ridge office as needed.
