Kirton McConkie, a large Salt Lake City based law firm, has an exciting employment opportunity for a Legal Assistant in their Salt Lake office. The ideal candidate will have a positive "can-do" attitude to meet the needs of high-level clients and attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Format and construct various pleadings, correspondence and other legal documents;
- Manage correspondence between attorney and clients;
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic files;
- Oversight of individual client preferences, client accounts, and requests;
- Maintain attorney calendar;
- Provide proactive and advanced legal support; and
- Other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Knowledge of court requirements and procedures
- Experience with the Federal and State Courts' electronic filing system
- Ability to meet required deadlines, multi-task, prioritize, organize, and work calmly under pressure;
- High attention to detail, be proactive, and self-motivated;
- Ability to both follow instructions, and to think and work independently;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Bachelor's degree preferred
