<p>You will lead the month-end close process and other business processes such as fixed assets, inventory, and revenue and receivables. This role involves working with team members across the organization, enhancing controls throughout business processes, maintaining compliance with company policies and financial regulations, and identifying opportunities to further improve business processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-starter, and skilled in leadership and process improvement.</p>
<p><strong>R</strong><strong>esponsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead the month-end close process to ensure complete, accurate, and timely reporting and accelerating the month-end close timeline</li>
<li>Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations across fixed assets, inventory, and revenue & receivables processes and ensure retention of supporting documentation</li>
<li>Serve as an accounting resource for operational and technical matters, clearly communicating requirements to non-finance partners</li>
<li>Work cross-functionally across departments on enhancing internal controls throughout business processes and ensure adherence to Company policies, including identifying improvements to existing Company policies</li>
<li>Enhance and maintain Accounting’s chart of accounts and ensure proper coding and classification of transactions amongst customer programs, R&D projects, and G&A</li>
<li>Execute and maintain highly-quality work to ensure accuracy and completeness of the Company’s financial statements</li>
<li>Participate in ERP implementations and UAT as necessary across various accounting and manufacturing systems</li>
<li>Support various ad-hoc finance and other accounting activities as needed</li>
<li>Liaise with external auditors and tax preparers as part of annual financial statement audit and other tax compliance filings, respectively</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business</li>
<li>3+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience</li>
<li>Experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft D365, Ramp, Bill.com, MaintainX) and Microsoft Excel</li>
<li>Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls</li>
<li>Hands-on and detail-oriented, with willingness to handle transactional tasks as well as strategic projects</li>
<li>Ability to multi-task and prioritize across projects and learn quickly</li>
<li>Excellent written and oral skills for effective communication with internal teams and external contacts</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Prior experience in the aerospace, satellite, manufacturing, telecommunications, or defense industries or high velocity start-up environments</li>
<li>Prior background in public accounting</li>
<li>Active CPA license</li>
<li>Experience utilizing AI tools as part of month-end close and day-to-day accounting activities</li>

<p><strong>Compensation and Benefits:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000 + equity in the company</li>
<li>Salary will be based on several factors including, but not limited to: knowledge and skills, education, and experience level</li>
