In this role, you will architect and deliver software solutions spanning MES, equipment automation, robotics, material handling systems, edge computing, Industrial IoT, and AI-enabled factory capabilities. You will work closely with factory operations, technology development, IT, and engineering teams to translate manufacturing requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design end-to-end automation solutions, software architectures, and integration frameworks.
- Define interfaces, protocols, APIs, and architecture patterns for factory automation platforms.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and drive technical pathfinding for new capabilities.
- Partner with factory stakeholders to understand requirements and prioritize automation solutions.
- Guide development, validation, deployment, and adoption of automation capabilities.
- Support technology transfers, high-volume manufacturing (HVM) readiness, and factory enablement initiatives.
Impact
Success in this role will be measured by:
- Reducing manual factory touchpoints and increasing factory autonomy.
- Improving throughput, equipment utilization, quality, and cycle time.
- Accelerating deployment and adoption of automation capabilities.
- Enabling successful technology development, transfer, and foundry customer engagements.
- Delivering scalable, reusable solutions that drive operational excellence across Intel factories.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience designing and delivering complex software or distributed systems.
- Experience with software architecture, distributed systems, event-driven platforms, microservices, or industrial automation solutions.
- Knowledge of industrial communication standards such as SECS/GEM, GEM300, OPC-UA, MQTT, REST, or gRPC.
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, industrial automation, robotics, or Industry 4.0 environments.
- Knowledge of MES, AMHS, AGV/AMR systems, or factory automation platforms.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, edge computing, or cloud-native architectures.
- Familiarity with Kafka, AI/ML-enabled automation, and OT cybersecurity.
Join us in building the technology foundation for Intel's next generation of autonomous factories.
