Professional Development & Mentorship
At Greenberg Glusker, we believe exceptional attorneys are developed through meaningful experience, thoughtful mentorship, and opportunities to build successful, long-term careers. This looks like:
Early Responsibility & Meaningful Experience – Greenberg Glusker offers the best of both worlds: the sophistication of a leading law firm with the opportunities for early exposure that come with being a mid-sized practice. Our size allows associates to work directly with clients earlier, take on sophisticated legal work, and develop meaningful responsibility that serve as the foundation for a thriving career.
A Dual-Mentor Program – Every new associate is paired with both a senior associate and a partner mentor. Senior associates – or “Big Sibs” – serve as day-to-day resources, providing practical guidance as associates navigate life at the Firm. In addition, each associate is matched with a partner-level mentor who offers broader career guidance, helping to chart a path for professional growth and long-term success.
Hands-On Professional Development – We are committed to the continuous education and advancement of our attorneys. Through our Associate Training Program, attorneys engage in learning opportunities designed to strengthen legal, business, and practice-specific skills while receiving ongoing mentorship from experienced practitioners.
A Voice in the Firm – Associates at Greenberg Glusker are encouraged to play an active role in the Firm's direction. Many serve on Firm committees where their ideas and perspectives are genuinely valued.
Business Development Support – Building a successful legal career extends beyond practicing law. Associates have access to the Firm's marketing, public relations, and business development resources and are encouraged to attend events and conferences to develop relationships that fuel future practice growth.
Diversity & Inclusion
Founded in 1959 by lawyers who were not welcome in traditional law firms due to religious discrimination, our firm has always valued skill, dedication, and integrity above all else. That legacy continues to shape our commitment to excellence and inclusion in the legal profession, guiding how we recruit, retain, and advance talent at every level. We are intentional about fostering a supportive culture and inclusive workplace where everyone feels a sense of belonging and has an equal opportunity to succeed. That same commitment extends beyond our walls, as we engage with the broader community through pro bono work, public interest partnerships, and initiatives aimed at promoting social justice and expanding access to the legal profession. Recent initiatives include:
Pro bono partnerships benefiting low-income, underserved communities, with unlimited billable credit for associates
Volunteer efforts and fundraising for a variety of causes that matter to the communities where we live and work
Book scholarships for first-year law students in Southern California
Longstanding participation in the Association of Corporate Counsel SoCal Summer Internship Program
Leadership roles held by our attorneys in various legal and business organizations
Support for mission-driven organizations and local businesses
Internal and external programming, including educational events and community-building activities
Giving Back
Community involvement is an important part of Greenberg Glusker's culture. We believe giving back strengthens not only the communities we serve, but also the connections within our own Firm. In addition to our commitment to pro bono service, our team regularly participates in volunteer initiatives and charitable fundraising throughout the year. Recent examples include:
Law Rocks Fundraiser – Greenberg Glusker’s in-house band, The Gee Gees, have participated three years in a row in the annual Law Rocks Los Angeles competition. The band has won the Judge’s Choice Award and has raised tens of thousands of dollars for local charities like Alliance for Children’s Rights and TreePeople.
Starve-A-Vampire Blood Drive – In partnership with the American Red Cross, team members participate in our annual October blood drive, complete with festive decorations, refreshments, and music. Last year alone, 30 participants helped support up to 90 lives.
Food From The Bar – Through creative fundraising events – including Pie-a-Partner, lip sync competitions, karaoke, casino nights, comedy shows, and magic shows – we have raised thousands of dollars for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
Adopt-A-Family – Every holiday season, our team comes together to provide gifts and support for families in need.
Volunteer Service – From building homes with Habitat for Humanity to preparing meals at Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles, our team enjoys opportunities to serve the community together.
A Culture of Appreciation
At Greenberg Glusker, we profoundly subscribe to the belief that our workforce is our most valuable asset, and we pair that belief with action to ensure that our team members feel valued:
Administrative Professionals Day – Each year, we recognize Administrative Professionals Day with a week of appreciation events, which have included firm-sponsored massages, catered treats, gifts, and attorneys serving breakfast to our staff.
Personal & Professional Milestones – Throughout the year, we celebrate birthdays, work anniversaries, engagements, weddings, growing families, retirements, and other personal milestones through our firm newsletter and office celebrations.
Years of Service Recognition – At our annual holiday party, team members receive a Greenberg Glusker lapel pin upon reaching five years with the Firm, and for every five years thereafter, a diamond is added to the pin – a meaningful tradition to honor long-term dedication and commitment.
Building Community Beyond the Office
Greenberg Glusker creates opportunities throughout the year for colleagues to connect outside of client work. Beyond the design of our Century City office, which features open kitchens and collaborative gathering spaces that encourage conversation, teamwork, and spontaneous connection throughout the day, examples include:
Attorney Retreats & Ski Trips – Each year, our attorneys enjoy a weekend retreat in Ojai, California, as well as an annual ski trip, providing opportunities to build relationships, recharge, and connect outside the office.
July 4th Family Breakfast – An annual summertime tradition where team members and their families gather for breakfast, face painting, balloon artists, crafts, and other family-friendly activities.
Private Movie Screenings – Whether celebrating the release of a highly anticipated film or one our attorneys helped bring to life, we host private screenings at the AMC Century City theater, often inviting team members to bring a guest.
Halloween Celebration & Office Trick-or-Treating – One of our most anticipated annual traditions, Halloween at Greenberg Glusker features festive decorations, themed lunches, costume contests, and office-wide trick-or-treating for employees' children, with candy stations hosted across all three floors.
Thanksgiving Potluck – Before the holiday, team members gather to share homemade dishes while the Firm provides turkey and other favorites. Those who prefer not to cook can instead support the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank through a charitable donation, making the event a celebration of both community and giving.
And Much More – Throughout the year, you'll also find escape rooms, happy hours, Office Olympics, cocktail-making classes, office mini golf, and other opportunities to relax, celebrate, and enjoy time together.
