The Venture Capital (VC) & Startup ecosystem Business Development team is an integral part of Google Cloud’s Go To Market strategy for Digital Natives/startup business segment. As part of an entrepreneurial team in this rapidly growing business, you will play a key role in understanding the needs of our Digital Native/Startup customers and help shape the future of their business. Our mission is to drive commercial and ecosystem impact with VCs and startups through a “One Google” approach, collaborating with cross functional teams at Google & Google Cloud to deliver the best outcome for our VC partners and startup customers.
Lead Google Cloud’s partnerships efforts within your designated portfolio of leading Venture Capital firms.
Work closely with Google Cloud regional sales leadership and other internal stakeholders to develop ecosystem strategy for the region, and Venture Capital partner-specific strategies.
Position Google’s startup program, drive adoption, ensure admission and help drive credit consumption.
Build and expand relationships with the key partners at assigned Venture Capitals, translating into long-term partnership agreements with Venture Capital firms.
Drive value creation for the portfolio companies through the adoption and usage of Google Cloud services, liaising with various functions internally to address the needs of portfolio companies.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience with quota-carrying sales or account management.
Preferred qualifications:
10 years of overall experience with at least 5 in VC/Private Equity firms, investment banking, Consulting, Partnerships and Business Development roles with C-level stakeholders.
Experience in managing products and technologies within Cloud or SaaS sectors.
Experience creating and executing on a Go To Market strategy in the startups and digital native space.
Knowledge of the local startup ecosystem and experience as Founder or in a executive role at a startup or in a VC firm.
Ability to engage effectively with executives, along with the technical literacy to interact with Chief Technical Officers (CTOs) and technical leaders.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience with quota-carrying sales or account management.
