The Google Cloud Business Platform (GCBP) accelerates Google Cloud's scale by efficiently acquiring and supporting customers and partners. Our focus is accelerating acquisition, onboarding, and multi-channel support, enhancing reliability, security, and data quality for enterprise expansion, and consolidating platforms via AI-driven automation and self-service workflows.
As a Staff Software Engineer on the Google Cloud Business Platform (GCBP) Area Tech Leads team, you will drive technical strategy and architecture, leading the AI transformation of core business processes. You will partner with cross-functional teams to define roadmaps and horizontal guidelines. You will focus on optimizing the end-to-end lead-to-cash cycle from initial engagement and agreement execution to business recognition.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $207000 - $301000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Own the technical architecture for the enterprise sales systems landscape, ensuring alignment with broader corporate infrastructure and business objectives.

Design scalable, resilient, and high-performing solutions capable of managing enterprise-level transaction volumes, complex multi-currency pricing, and global sales processes.

Partner with RevOps, sales leadership, legal, and IT to build and maintain a multi-year technical roadmap for sales systems.

Lead technical evaluations and build Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) for new sales technologies, integrations, and architectural patterns.

Define the master data architecture for accounts, contacts, products, and agreements.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of experience programming in C++.

5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.

5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.

3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.

3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.

3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of experience programming in C++.

5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.

5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.

3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
