Freeman Mathis and Gary is a national, specialty litigation firm with a focus in insurance defense. We are located in the Cobb Galleria Office Park, steps away from Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta. We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst for immediate hire. The Business Systems Analyst aids the Firm supports core business applications and reporting for the Firm. This role partners with all departments of the Firm and translates technical applications information into usable management decision making information. The role requires problem solving, research and a willingness to follow tasks through to completion. Excellent communication and prompt follow up with attorneys, staff, vendors, and clients is required. As with all positions at FMG, the Business Systems Analyst is encouraged to maintain a positive attitude in the face of complex challenges and always demonstrate professionalism. Finally, maintaining the confidentiality of client and firm matters is central to the role. This position is located in our Atlanta, GA office and requires an in office presence. Essential Job Functions:
Serve as subject matter expert and application specialist as it relates to business applications and Firm information systems infrastructure, especially Fulcrum
Create workflow charts and diagrams reflecting accurate business processes and system capabilities
Evaluate systems for making improvements and design modifications for more efficient and productive workflows
Recommend controls by identifying problems and communicating improved procedures
Create and maintain informative, actionable and repeatable reports that highlight key business indicators and opportunities for improvement
Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends to offer increased visibility into the data
Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues
Work with end-users to find solutions for system issues and propose new developments
Act as day-to-day owner and administrator for core business applications, providing end-user assistance, training, and troubleshooting as required
Assists with special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
Microsoft Access, SAP, and/or SQL experience strongly preferred
Experience working with law firms preferred
Detail oriented, analytical, and inquisitive
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel
Physical Duties
The position is based in a comfortable, climate-controlled office setting with handicap access. The position requires prolonged sitting, standing and computer work. You may occasionally be required to lift up to 10-15 pounds. The ability to consistently hear, understand, listen, and speak to meet the needs and standards of the practice. In addition, the position requires:
Ability to use a computer for eight hours or more a day.
The position often requires dealing with moderate to high stress. The ability to cope with and manage stress is essential.
