<p>Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot, Figure 03, is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It's time to build.</p>
<p>Figure is building the world's most capable general-purpose humanoid robot. XR systems play a key role in teaching our robots how to understand the world around them. </p>
<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>You’ll be working within our small but impactful XR team, contributing to a number of critical projects. One morning you might be debugging an XR app, the next afternoon you're running a hardware experiment on the robot. You'll thrive here if you love that kind of variety and move fast without needing a playbook.</p>
<p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Build and maintain XR products to interface with our robots and data-capture hardware - implementing features, fixing bugs, and ensuring reliability as we scale</li>
<li>Design and build out intuitive spatial user interfaces and visualizations</li>
<li>Harden our XR data sync processes</li>
<li>Integrate custom hardware stacks with off-the-shelf XR headsets</li>
<li>Jump across hardware experiments, bug fixes, and new feature development as priorities shift</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Deep hands-on XR development experience - OpenXR, Unity, Godot, Unreal Engine, and/or WebXR</li>
<li>Comfortable working in XR for extended periods; this is your daily environment, not an occasional tool</li>
<li>Strong C++ </li>
<li>Experience with video streaming and low-latency transmission systems</li>
<li>Experience with high-precision motion-capture systems and tracking technologies</li>
<li>Startup experience — you know how to operate with ambiguity and move fast</li>
<li>Bonus: computer vision, robotics, custom hardware, cloud APIs, haptics</li>
