Litigation Brief Writer – Senior Associate/Counsel

Duane Morris LLP seeks to add a full-time senior associate or counsel dedicated to brief writing for its growing products/mass tort practice based in its North Jersey office. The ideal candidate should have at least 5+ years of experience in sophisticated legal research and writing, preferably in products/mass tort matters, with an ability to formulate and execute briefing strategy. Candidate will apply appropriate legal authority that supports the facts and circumstances of each case to prepare substantive briefs and motions, including complex dispositive motions, opposition motions, motions for summary judgment, motions to compel arbitration, appeals, and mediation statements for its clients in various jurisdictions. The qualified candidate must be detail-oriented with strong research, organizational and writing skills and the ability to keep abreast of products/mass tort laws in multiple jurisdictions. Big law experience preferred. Candidates with a strong work ethic, commitment to excellence, and results-oriented outcomes is desired. NJ Bar admission and/or NY/NJ admission and writing sample is required.

The target annual pay range for this role is $275,000+.  Actual pay will vary depending upon various factors, including relevant experience, skill-set, current business needs and market factors. The compensation range listed is just one component of Duane Morris' total comp package for employees, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses and incentive packages, and firm-sponsored benefit programs.
