Senior Software Engineer - Source-to-Pay

What you'll do As the Senior Software Engineer, Applications Engineering, your role will be to architect, develop and build robust technology solutions that scale the Finance processes, and related systems. This involves close collaboration with teams across Business Transformation, Application Engineering, Application Product Management, Docusign Product, Data, and Integration teams. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Application Engineering - Finance. Responsibility Engineer AI/ML pipelines to automate document processing, invoice extraction, and intelligent classification within AP and procurement workflows Architect AI-driven predictive modeling and anomaly detection frameworks within GL and procurement systems to strengthen internal controls and enhance fraud detection Build sophisticated design agents and prototypes leveraging GenAI, LLMs, RAG frameworks, and MLOps to deliver intelligent conversational insights and predictive financial forecasting Architect end-to-end technical designs for Oracle Cloud ERP S2P modules (PR/PO/AP/GL/Payments), focusing on scalable data models and resilient accounting patterns Develop high-throughput, event-driven inbound and outbound integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP APIs, and FBDI Implement advanced observability and reliability frameworks for integrations, emphasizing idempotency, automated retry logic, comprehensive logging, and real-time metrics Automate ERP lifecycle tasks (batch scheduling, regression testing, data refreshes) through standardized CI/CD pipelines and scripting to drive infrastructure-as-code maturity Partner with security engineers to design robust role-based access models and segregation-of-duties (SOD) rules at the technical object and privilege level Perform performance engineering for high-volume GL, AP, and PO interfaces, optimizing query execution and logic to strictly maintain close-window SLAs Engineer custom technical extensions (PL/SQL, Java/Groovy, VBCS/OCI) while strictly adhering to engineering, code quality, and security standards Select and leverage specialized Oracle platform capabilities (SLA, BI Publisher, OTBI, workflows) to meet functional requirements while aggressively minimizing technical debt Define technical specifications for global payment integration (e.g., ISO 20022/SEPA) and collaborate with Treasury stakeholders to ensure secure bank communications Lead the full S2P delivery lifecycle, from initial discovery and design to L3 engineering ownership, architectural documentation, and production support Develop optimized, parameterized BI Publisher and OTBI reports, integrating embedded analytics to provide actionable financial insights Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. What you bring Basic 9+ years of experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials, specifically 6+ years of hands-on engineering in Source to Pay (S2P) modules including PR, PO, AP, and GL Expertise in designing high-performance integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), VBCS, APEX, and FBDI, supported by a deep command of REST/SOAP web services, JSON/XML, and SFTP Proven experience deploying enterprise AI solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG architectures, Agentic AI, and MLOps to deliver intelligent insights and predictive forecasting Deep technical command of Oracle ERP S2P data models, with hands-on proficiency in Subledger Accounting (SLA) rules, Workflow/BPM, BI Publisher, and OTBI Advanced capability in developing and tuning complex SQL and PL/SQL code to optimize reports, data extensions, and high-volume processing logic Preferred Experience with additional Oracle Cloud Financials modules, including Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Expenses, and Tax Solid understanding of inter-company processes and accounting workflows Expertise in building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, scripting migrations, and automating tests for Oracle Cloud ERP artifacts such as reports, integrations, and configurations Familiarity with integrating ERP systems with procurement intake tools, vendor onboarding platforms, tax engines, and e-invoicing providers Professional background in global technology or SaaS environments, with experience supporting multiple ledgers, currencies, and localizations Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for technical documentation, data analysis, and presentations Focused engineering on system robustness and reliability, utilizing observability, automated error handling, idempotency, and data reconciliation techniques in high-volume environments Demonstrated commitment to secure, compliant design by ensuring all technical solutions adhere to SOX, auditability, and organizational security requirements Ability to manage the full development lifecycle, from initial requirements discovery and solution architecture through to deployment and ongoing production support Strong analytical and debugging skills to resolve complex issues across custom configurations and integrations, while effectively communicating technical insights to finance stakeholders Life at Docusign Working here Docusign is committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work.
