Looking for a stable transportation career with a growing company? We are hiring an experienced Intermodal Dispatcher in Palmetto, GA. This is a direct hire opportunity offering competitive pay and the chance to play a critical role in daily transportation operations. Candidates must have previous intermodal trucking and drayage experience.
Job Duties
• Dispatch and coordinate daily freight movements for owner operators.
• Schedule appointments and assign loads based on customer needs and driver availability.
• Monitor freight status and resolve delays, breakdowns, detention, and service issues.
• Maintain accurate load updates and documentation within the Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Communicate with customers, drivers, and internal departments regarding shipment status and operational changes.
• Monitor daily operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and equipment utilization.
Required Qualifications
• Previous Intermodal Dispatcher, Drayage Dispatcher, or Intermodal Operations experience required.
• Working knowledge of container transportation and intermodal trucking operations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced transportation environment.
• Strong computer, data entry, and software skills.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Must be available to start immediately.
• Must be able to travel to New Jersey for approximately three days of training.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with PortPro or similar Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Experience with Trinium, DrayMaster, Railinc, Kaleris, Descartes, TMW/Trimble Transportation, or McLeod LoadMaster.
• Experience working directly with owner operators.
• Railroad or intermodal industry experience.

• Primarily office-based work requiring extended computer use.
• High attention to detail and ability to respond quickly to operational issues.
• Deadline-driven environment requiring strong organizational skills.
