Lead Distribution Center Operations for a Growing Organization

Diverse Staffing is hiring a Distribution Center General Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Palmetto, GA. This is a permanent position with a company seeking an experienced operations leader who can oversee warehouse performance, develop teams, improve efficiencies, and maintain safety and quality standards.

What You’ll Do

• Manage daily distribution center operations and warehouse performance.

• Lead supervisors and warehouse teams to meet productivity, safety, and quality goals.

• Monitor and improve KPIs related to inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving.

• Partner with supply chain and customer service teams to support operational objectives.

• Develop employees through coaching, training, and performance management.

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, company policies, and operational standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing operations.

• Proven experience leading large teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, and process improvement.

• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and reporting tools.

• Ability to analyze operational data and make business decisions.

• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-department operational leadership experience.

• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.

• Budget management and labor planning experience.

Work Environment

• Distribution center and warehouse environment.

• Fast-paced operation with productivity and service-level expectations.

• Regular walking throughout the facility.

• Frequent interaction with warehouse employees, supervisors, and operational leaders.

• Exposure to warehouse equipment, shipping areas, and changing operational demands.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout a distribution center for extended periods.

• Ability to occasionally lift or move materials up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to use computers, reports, and warehouse management systems throughout the workday.
