Job Description
Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for a Legal Administrative Assistant. This position will provide legal and administrative support to Litigation lawyers in a highly collaborative working environment. This is a hybrid position requiring three days in the office and two days remote each week.
Responsibilities
Prepare and file court documents in state and federal courts, including electronic filings
Responsible for document preparation including pleadings, editing, file maintenance and, client billing
Preparation of correspondence and responses for mailing, faxing, courier, FEDEX, including the certificate of mailing, copy and filing of documents as per client instructions and/or protocol
Manage and maintain accurate and organized physical and electronic files
Enter and review timekeeper entries and assist in the preparation of billing ensuring timely submission of invoices
Serve as a professional point of contact for clients in person and by phone
Arrange travel and process expense reimbursements
Handle confidential and sensitive firm and client information with discretion
Handle administrative confidential/sensitive firm and/or client information
These duties may be ongoing or ad-hoc in nature
Other duties as may be assigned to fully meet the requirements for this position
Experience & Qualifications
5-10 years of Litigation experience in a mid to large sized law firm
Proficient in legal and administrative tasks including, but not limited to, document preparation, filing, time entry, billing, expenses, telephone contact, travel arrangements, and calendar maintenance
Working knowledge of local court rules and procedures
Possess exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, work independently, and multi-task a must. Ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and excellent client service
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required. Knowledge of Intapp, iManage, and Chrome River is a plus.
Must have a solid ability to learn and adapt to new software programs are essential
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and professional correspondence
Demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and manage incoming and outgoing requests efficiently
Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Salary
Pursuant with states' laws, the salary range for this position is $78,000 - $90,000, based on experience and local market.
