The role centers on the 'AI Forward Deployed Engineer' function, in which an engineer embeds directly with a client to turn AI ambition into production systems, combining hands-on AI engineering, pod-based delivery, and deep sector knowledge. This blend of embedded client delivery and AI engineering was largely absent from consulting job structures before the recent wave of generative AI deployments.
Connect to your Industry
We are looking for motivated, curious, team-orientated individuals to join our market-leading Insurance AI delivery team, leveraging their knowledge of the Insurance sector and AI engineering skills to drive our clients’ growth and modernisation strategies forwards, especially as the use of AI, data and technology becomes more prevalent. At Deloitte, AI Forward Deployed Engineers (FDE) don’t just build AI solutions, they help clients turn AI ambition into enterprise-scale impact, pairing leading class engineering with pod-based delivery and vertical expertise. If you thrive at the intersection of product, engineering, problem-solving, and client impact, this role puts you at the forefront of AI transformations.
