The posting is for a Cursor role but its description belongs to SpaceX/xAI's Grok team, which suggests either a copy-paste error or a sign that the AI coding tool is being positioned as an enterprise deployment business under a larger AI organization, with a dedicated customer-facing function standing up in Australia.
SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today, SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of making life multiplanetary and expanding consciousness to the stars.
SpaceXSI is building Super Intelligence to help humanity understand the universe. Our teams are building the full Super Intelligence stack: from our Colossus supercomputers, to Grok models, to our suite of applications, including Grok Bot, Grok Build, Grok Imagine, Grok Voice, and X. We're creating a powerful flywheel where more compute trains better models, better models power more useful products, and what we learn from people using those products shapes what we build next.
We’re hiring the first AI Deployment Manager to partner with some of our most strategic enterprise customers. This role will be based in Sydney. As an AI Deployment Manager, you’ll drive adoption, deliver measurable business value, and help shape how AI transforms engineering teams. You’ll act as the connective tissue between customer stakeholders and our internal teams, influencing both the Grok roadmap and each customer’s implementation strategy.
This role is highly cross‑functional and customer‑facing. You understand software development workflows, care deeply about developer tools, and love helping engineering organizations succeed at scale.
Build and grow deep relationships with engineering leaders and power users at key accounts
Partner with Field Engineering and Sales to deliver a seamless post‑sale experience
Drive adoption of Grok by aligning usage with business objectives and engineering goals
Guide customers on best practices for rollout, prompt strategy, context configuration, and internal enablement
Serve as the customer’s voice internally and influence roadmap priorities
Provide strategic account planning and regular business reviews with VP‑ and CTO‑level stakeholders
Monitor account health, usage patterns, and product engagement to drive renewals and expansion
You have strong communication skills and executive presence, and are comfortable whiteboarding with developers and pivoting to value with a CTO
You have a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and engineering org structures
You are fluent in technical workflows, AI tooling, and developer productivity (even if you haven’t been a full‑time engineer)
You are customer‑obsessed with a knack for strategic thinking and problem‑solving
You thrive in a startup environment: scrappy, proactive, and adaptable
You have experience in TAM, Solutions Architecture, Customer Success, or Consulting for enterprise software
Our mission is to automate coding. The first step in our journey is to build the best tool for professional programmers, using a combination of inventive research, design, and engineering.
Our organization is very flat, and our team is small and talent dense. We particularly like people who are truthseeking, passionate, and creative. We enjoy spirited debate, crazy ideas, and shipping code.
If there appears to be a fit, we'll reach to schedule 2-3 short technicals. After, we'll schedule an onsite in our office, where you'll work on a small project, discuss ideas, and meet the team.
Answer a McCoy challenge. Companies hiring in customer success see your response and reach out when they want to talk.
About 15 minutes to prepare and 5 minutes to record. Unlimited retakes and a teleprompter help you answer. No AI training, and you can delete your response anytime.
This isn't an application to Cursor.
