Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Associate with 4+ years of personal injury tort litigation experience to join our Tort and Insurance Defense Practice in Manhattan. This role offers immediate client contact and responsibility, with opportunities to work on complex litigation matters.
Job Duties:
- Represent clients in personal injury tort and insurance defense litigation.
- Handle depositions, motion practice, and court appearances.
- Provide strategic counsel and assume responsibility for client matters from the outset.
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
- Collaborate with partners and colleagues to develop case strategies and deliver exceptional client service.
- Manage multiple assignments independently while maintaining attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with excellent academic credentials.
- Admission to the New York Bar required; admission to the New Jersey Bar is a plus.
- Minimum of 4+ years of personal injury tort litigation experience.
- Trial experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional judgment, problem‑solving ability, and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external clients.
- Proactive, resourceful, and committed to delivering high‑quality work.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive salary, an excellent benefits package and a collaborative, friendly environment. The salary range for this role is $150,000-$180,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
