It starts with our people, which is why we need a Partner Accounting - Reconciliations Accountant to join our team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with prior relevant experience to utilize their skills at a leading law firm.
The Reconciliations Accountant will assist the Partnership Accounting and Tax team who are based within the London office. We are offering this role as a full time 6 months fixed term contract. There is also flexibility for this role to be part time (4 days a week).
The role will have responsibility for multi-currency cash and accrual account reconciliations to Elite 3E in transaction, unit and firm currencies.
You’ll be responsible for:
• Assisting the Partnership Accounting and Tax team with detailed partner accounting and tax reconciliations, including but not limited to the reconciliation of individual partner accounts to the cash and accrual book balances within Elite 3E.
• Profit allocation and tax reserve journals.
• Consolidating reports, reviewing balances in transaction, unit and firm currencies along with the preparation and posting of multi-currency journals in Elite 3E.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the above tasks to a high standard.
Skills and experience required:
• Demonstrable experience of all or most of the tasks outlined above.
• A high level of attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
• Spreadsheet knowledge. Microsoft Excel skills are required.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels, both verbally and written, with the ability to critically review.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Minimum of three years relevant experience working within a professional services or accountancy practice in a similar role, ideally within a law firm.
• This role requires regular in person collaboration with colleagues in the London office.
