Bremer Whyte Brown & O'Meara, LLP is seeking a talented Paralegal to join our award-winning team in our Las Vegas office. We are a reputable and forward-thinking mid-sized law firm, recognized for our sixth consecutive year as a Best Law Firm® by U.S. News & World Report's Best Lawyers®. As a Paralegal, you will have an essential role in supporting our attorneys and clients and contributing to our continued success. This position will also include some secretarial and/or administrative duties.
Responsibilities
Work with attorneys to develop legal arguments, motions, and other case filings
Create reports for attorneys based on case specifications and attorney requests
Review, analyze, summarize, and organize case files, documents, and discovery
Utilize existing files and research resources to develop information for pending cases
Assist in preparing and organizing subpoenas or other formal requests for documents
Monitor changes to government guidelines or regulations and report on pertinent changes
Maintain attorney calendars, including scheduling appointments and calendaring deadlines
Communicate with clients regarding case matters and updates
Proofread documents to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to filing or distribution
Assist with secretarial and administrative duties as needed
Paralegal certification required
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and court e-filing systems
Sharp attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Self-motivated, reliable team player with a professional demeanor
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently
