Senior Buyer - Tooling and Capital Equipment

Regardless of the position one holds, each team member brings their talent and desire to positively impact the environment and lives of others in a refreshing, vibrant, and inclusive culture.  We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to support procurement and contract fulfillment supporting our Capital Equipment and Tooling commodities.  In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and order fulfillment, management of supplier accounts to ensure timely delivery of Capital Equipment and Tooling supporting aircraft and other manufactured parts.  As an experienced Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for the management of cost, schedule, and technical performance of your equipment portfolio.  You will build and maintain solid relationships with our supplier partners, engineering team, and other internal stakeholders within BETA.  A successful candidate will be a team player with an exceptional ability to multitask and manage competing priorities. </span></div>

<div><strong>How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Participate in the generation of Statements of Work (SoW)</li>
<li>Lead the development of Request for Proposal (RFP) packages</li>
<li>Lead the source selection process</li>
<li>Preparing purchase orders or bid requests; entering data of all purchase orders</li>
<li>Implement cost savings efforts, drive on time delivery and quality of product metrics.</li>
<li>Manage supplier performance throughout the lifecycle of the contract</li>
<li>Act as commercial authority on behalf of the company, signing agreements as delegated.</li>
<li>Prepare formal communication to supply chain leads</li>
<li>Act as the liaison between internal and external stakeholders</li>
<li>Schedule and lead Program Review Meetings</li>
<li>Performing other duties as assigned</li>
<li>20%+ travel minimum</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or Supply Chain, or the equivalent in work experience.</li>
<li>5-7 years of procurement experience managing high dollar projects or complex aerospace projects.</li>
<li>Experience and confidence within an ERP system. Immersion using Plex, Oracle, SAP, or Epicor systems will provide a proper base for success</li>
<li>An analytical mind with strong attention to detail</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills</li>
<li>Proficient in preparing presentation materials and data sets.</li>
<li>Day to day use of Microsoft Suite including Excel, Slack, 3DX, Grafana or Tableau</li>
<li>Passion for safety through quality in both design, software development, and manufacturing</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>Above and Beyond Qualifications:</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>PMP Certification or other project management experience</li>
<li>Working knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace certification requirements</li>
</ul>
