Position Summary
The Legal Technology Adoption & Training Specialist is responsible for driving the effective use, adoption, support, and continuous improvement of the firm's legal technology platforms and approved artificial intelligence solutions. This position serves as a liaison between attorneys, administrative staff, business departments, and Information Technology personnel.
The role combines legal technology training, GenAI enablement, workflow analysis, process improvement, and change management initiatives designed to maximize the value of the firm's technology investments. The specialist helps users understand and apply firm-approved technologies, identifies opportunities for increased efficiency through automation and process improvements, and develops and delivers practical training programs.
The ideal candidate possesses a blend of technical aptitude, training expertise, business analysis skills, and a passion for helping legal professionals successfully adopt and leverage technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
Legal Technology Training & User Enablement
- Develop, maintain, and deliver practical training programs for attorneys and professional staff on firm-supported applications and technologies.
- Coordinate technology onboarding and integration training for new attorneys and professional staff.
- Provide one-on-one coaching, group instruction, and virtual training sessions across multiple office locations.
- Create and maintain curricula, learning paths, user guides, quick reference materials, knowledge base articles, videos, and other instructional content.
- Evaluate training effectiveness, recommend improved delivery methods, and promote adoption of underutilized technology features and best practices.
AI Adoption & Innovation
- Support the firm's adoption and effective use of approved artificial intelligence platforms and technologies.
- Develop practical AI use cases tailored to legal workflows, knowledge management, administrative processes, and business operations.
- Educate attorneys and professional staff on the appropriate, secure, ethical, and effective use of AI technologies in alignment with firm policies.
- Create AI-focused training materials, prompt libraries, workflow examples, and best-practice guidance.
- Monitor user adoption trends, identify opportunities to increase engagement, and assist in evaluating emerging AI tools and enhancements for potential firm use.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Analyze business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through better use of existing technology and approved automation tools.
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements for technology initiatives and workflow improvements.
- Assist with the design, testing, documentation, and support of workflow automation solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives involving document workflows, approvals, notifications, reporting, and task management processes.
Collaboration & Project Participation
- Participate in technology-related projects such as system implementations, upgrades, and pilot programs.
- Maintain effective communication with management, IT leadership, and departmental stakeholders regarding adoption initiatives and technology improvements.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills including client service, communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to deliver technology training in an engaging and effective manner to diverse audiences.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in practical, non-technical language.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong client service orientation and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with attorneys, staff, vendors, and technology professionals.
- Familiarity with business process analysis, workflow design, and change management principles.
- Ability to identify opportunities for technology adoption, efficiency gains, and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Education, Business Administration, Communications, Legal Studies, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience in legal technology training, business application support, technology adoption, business analysis, or a related role.
- Experience creating and delivering end-user training programs.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues and assist end users effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Experience supporting legal technology platforms such as Aderant, iManage, Litera, or similar applications.
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools used within legal or professional services environments.
- Experience with process improvement, technology adoption, or change management initiatives.
- Familiarity with legal confidentiality requirements, client data protection standards, and ethical technology practices.
Work Environment:
- Occasional travel may be required to support training initiatives, technology deployments, project activities, or office-specific needs.
- Occasional work outside normal business hours may be required to support system implementations, upgrades, or training activities.
- Ability to participate in virtual meetings, remote training sessions, and collaboration activities across multiple office locations.
