Position Overview and Objective
We are looking for a Manager, Engineering to lead a small, dedicated team focused on rethinking and rearchitecting Arctic Wolf’s parsing platform, a critical layer in our data pipeline that enables ingestion and normalization of diverse data sources.
Arctic Wolf processes trillions of events per day across a wide range of on-premise and cloud systems. As data volume and complexity grow in a rapidly changing AI-amplified threat landscape, scalable and adaptable data processing is increasingly critical.
This team will build the next generation of the parsing framework. As a manager, you will guide execution, support technical direction, and develop a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
Lead a team responsible for evolving the parsing platform and associated data processing systems
Drive delivery aligned to quarterly priorities and roadmap commitments
Partner with Product and Architecture on planning and execution
Contribute to longer-term technical and organizational direction
Lead, mentor, and manage a team delivering high-quality, production-scale systems
Drive execution of team deliverables and ensure alignment with priorities and goals
Remove blockers, provide clarity, and ensure the team is operating effectively
Guide development of high-performance services in a real-time data pipeline (streaming and batch)
Ensure strong standards for system reliability, data quality, and maintainability
Partner with architects and engineers on system design and evolution of the parsing platform
Establish and reinforce best practices for development, testing, and deployment
Oversee the software development lifecycle and ensure timely delivery of milestones
Serve as the primary point of contact for collaboration between teams in North America and India, ensuring alignment on priorities, execution, and delivery across distributed teams and time zones
Build strong relationships across teams working on pipeline, detection, and platform systems
Develop team members through coaching, mentorship, and performance management
Lead hiring and contribute to recruitment strategy
Experience & Requirements
8+ years of software engineering experience, with 2–3+ years in a management role
Experience leading teams of 5+ engineers delivering production systems
Strong background in backend or distributed systems
Experience with large-scale data or pipeline systems
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience working in Agile development environments
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in fast-paced environments
Nice to Have
Experience with high-throughput or real-time data processing systems
Familiarity with stream processing (e.g., Kafka, Flink, Spark)
Experience with systems handling diverse or evolving data formats
Background in platform or infrastructure engineering
Exposure to cybersecurity or data-intensive domains
