Why this role is notable
Apple is standing up a separate, locally staffed data platform engineering organization in China to meet data residency rules, a sign that regulatory localization is now forcing duplicated infrastructure rather than being handled by shipping global systems across borders.
Job Description
Help us build the Apple Data Platform in China! We are establishing a new engineering organization from the ground up to build and operate Apple's next-generation data platform for customers in China. Our mission is to deliver a secure, scalable, and high-performance platform for data, analytics, and AI workloads while meeting regional regulatory and data residency requirements.
Working in close partnership with the global Apple Data Platform organization, you'll help bring world-class platform capabilities to China, maintain architectural consistency and operational excellence, and establish a long-term engineering presence that powers critical Apple businesses across the region.
