Job Description
Developers and development teams are key influencers who steer organizational adoption of new methodologies, technologies, services and platforms. The mission of the Developer Transformation (DevTx) team is to help developers gain greater familiarity and confidence building modern, cloud-native applications that take full advantage of the latest AI-driven tools and AWS’s wide range of services. Through direct developer engagement, DevTx helps customers to address actual business problems and accelerated design, development and deployment of production quality cloud native application workloads.
As a DevTx Senior Solution Architect (SA), you will help customers to innovate and transform their software development practices, applying modern patterns, the latest architectural best practices using the latest AI-native tools for developing and operating full-stack, cloud-native workloads. You will collaborate with customers and peers, develop content and enable the wider community to harness the power of AWS Cloud.
In this role, you will continuously sharpen and apply your expertise in programming languages, distributed systems, design patterns and the full software development life-cycle, to upskill developers and development teams on AWS cloud services, the third-party ecosystem and partner solutions.
Key job responsibilities
• Be an active member of the AWS Solution Architecture team by leading and influencing stakeholders in on-to-one and one-to-many application architecture and development discussions and workshops with developers, software engineers, enterprise/solution architects and CTOs
• Accelerating adoption of AWS in the student, startup and professional developer communities by engaging through conferences, startup events, meetups, user groups and hackathons
• Help lead the direction for AWS developer events to make them best-in-class from a developer’s perspective, representing AWS through speaking, doing live demos and interacting with attendees
• Creating technical content such as reference applications, starter kits and patterns and practical guidance that will get developers excited about the potential of AWS as a development platform
• Contributing to a library of highly-reusable developer-focused artefacts such as demonstrations, sample code, blog posts, tutorials, and other modes of technical enablement
• Providing end-user feedback to AWS Product Management and Engineering teams based on the developer ‘voice of the customer‘. Participate in technical and design discussions with AWS technical teams to help speed customer adoption and ensure best practices during implementation
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Lead hands-on deep dives and technical workshops, contributing reusable code, reference architectures, and internal technical assets for the broader engineering organization.
If you are keen to help AWS customers adopt the latest methods, practices and tools in software development, while challenging the impossible, come build the future with us.
